Everyone wants to win the big prize.
Everyone wants to be called the prince or princess.
But the crucibles? No one wants to pass through them.
That's why history has proven that the ultra successful have figured out the code to win the game of success every time.
They are not scared.
They don't overthink.
Because in the end, they will win.
What gives them such outrageous level of confidence that they will always be on top?
They understand one key influential player, and that is - the power of compounding interest.
And they know this works because of three key factors:
But before we get to the factors, it's better you know what compounding interest looks like.
When I was little, I had the opportunity to watch the process through which cassava flakes (garri) was made; and it was one of the most puzzling, yet exciting moments of my teenage years.
It all starts with harvesting the tubers from the farm.
Then we'd spend a whole day (and sometimes extra days) gently peeling the back of the tubers off.
After that my mum would wash every one of them, and place them inside a paint bucket, pour water into it and close it.
The next step was to take it to the grinder, to mash it into pieces, after which we would bring it back home, then have my mum or sister fry every single one of them.
Then after frying the mashed cassava, you'd get what you call cassava flakes.
That was a hard process, but all has the elements of compounding interest.
We wanted to make cassava flakes (Garri) - interest.
There had to be a process to get to the final product - process ^ 5 = compounded interest.
And the ultra-successful knows this, they know how useful the law of compounding interest is, and they know it will work because of three (3) factors:
First. They understand the value of systems. They have built their successful lives up to the point where there's no second-guessing and gambling, instead, they have set up building blocks of activities, stacked up on each other, which makes them astutely successful.
They understand the power of systems, because those building blocks are interests which compounds over time to form a solid rock house.
Second. They think long-term. These guys are not like you, always in a rush to make the quick bucks. They know you are lazy, and they are willing to play the long term game, because you don't understand the rules.
They sit duck and wait you out. They are detailed, calculated, motivated and focused. They are ultra-focused on one thing.
While you spend 6 years trying 6 different businesses, they spend 6 years figuring out 6 methods to grow 1 business - and guess who wins?
Do you get the picture now?
That's the life of a winner, they know the rule of the game, and thankfully we all do now.
Question is, if you had the chance to start all over, what would you do?
